The Nest & the Hunt

Across Arbor, when a mighty beast falls, sometimes a Boss Egg forms from the last spark of its spirit. These shells do not hatch of their own will — they must be carried into the Boss Egg Arena in the centre of Thais, where the ritual of summoning is bound.

Within each egg sleeps a shade of the Malignant Revenant: a fire-born terror that grows fiercer with the rarity of the shell. Slay it, and the Reward Chest opens with gold, potions, and Aether-marked equipment fit for heroes.

Gear born of the nest may be forged further with Aether Mark, or sold to the Local Trader for Bars of Gold — one bar for each mark of power upon the item.

How Boss Eggs Are Found

What decides whether an egg appears?

Eggs are rare gifts of fortune, not a common drop. Four things shape the chance:

  1. Worthy prey — only creatures with more than 400 hit points can leave a shell. Weak fodder never forms a Boss Egg.
  2. A stroke of luck — after a valid kill, fate must favour you twice. Most victories yield nothing; only a slim fraction of hunts ever roll an egg. Patience is part of the craft.
  3. Your stamina — the nest answers only the tireless:
    • Below 36 hours of stamina: no Boss Eggs from the wild.
    • 36 to 40 hours: Yellow, Red, and Blue eggs may appear.
    • Above 40 hours (full vigour): all five shells — including Green and legendary Purple.
  4. Strength of the foe — higher-level monsters tip the nest toward greater eggs. Hunting stronger beasts improves your odds of a rarer shell when luck finally smiles.

Tip Keep stamina high for hard content, and do not expect an egg every hunt — celebrate when one appears.

How to Summon — Thais Arena
  1. Travel to the Boss Egg Arena in the centre of Thais (the dedicated summoning grounds).
  2. Stand inside the arena. Eggs refuse to hatch anywhere else.
  3. Use the Boss Egg from your backpack. Meet the level (and Rebirth, where required) of that shell.
  4. Only one Revenant may stalk the arena at a time — wait for the previous fight to end.
  5. The egg is consumed. A Malignant Revenant rises, scaled to the power of the shell you broke.
  6. Defeat it. Loot comes through the Reward system (chest / reward bag) — not a simple corpse pile alone.

Rare mercy of the nest On Blue and Green shells, there is a tiny chance the egg grants a direct treasure (pieces of classic dwarven plate, or fine bags of blossom and silk) instead of summoning a boss. Most of the time, the fight is the path.

The Foe Within — Malignant Revenant

Malignant Revenant

A demon-born spectre of flame and spite. It drinks mana, scorches the ground, calls lesser demons, and laughs as it heals. Holy and ice sting it; fire and earth slide from its hide. Every shell summons a Revenant of the same bloodline — only its monster level (and thus its fury and loot) changes with the egg.

What heroes face

  • Heavy melee and wide fire storms
  • Mana drain and energy lashes
  • Self-healing and sudden haste
  • Occasional demon thralls
  • Immunities: fire, earth, life drain, paralysis, invisibility

Stages by shell (weak → strong)

  • Yellow (Common) — young Revenant (~1–10)
  • Red (Rare) — rising Revenant (~10–20)
  • Blue (Epic) — rare quality (~20–35)
  • Green (Mythic) — epic hunt (~35–50)
  • Purple (Ultra) — legendary apex (~50–60)

Stronger stages drop richer Aether marks and a few more guaranteed relics. Bring potions, friends, and resolve.

Spoils of Victory

Treasure of the Reward Chest

When the Revenant falls, the realm awards you through the boss reward chest. Expect:

  • Crystal Coin Crystal Coins — modest piles of wealth
  • Bar of Gold Bars of Gold — the trader's currency
  • Great Health and Great Mana potions for the next war
  • Four to seven pieces of fine equipment from the same vault as the Game Store — always bearing an Aether Mark (tier 2 to 7)

Aether Mark on boss gear

  • Weaker Revenants tend to grant lower marks (from Gleam upward).
  • Apex Revenants push marks higher — up toward Exalted (tier 7).
  • Ranks you may see: T2 Gleam T3 Ember T4 Runic T5 Radiant T6 Mythic T7 Exalted
  • Marks can be improved later with the Aether Mark forge (!forge).

Examples of gear that may appear

• Wand of Inferno
• Wand of Starstorm
• Underworld Rod
• Springsprout Rod
• Magic Sword
• Giant Sword
• Nightmare Blade
• Stonecutter Axe
• Warsinger Bow
• Royal Crossbow
• Demon Helmet
• Magic Plate Armor
• Mastermind Shield
• Boots of Haste
• Crystal Boots
• Greenwood Coat
• Lightning Headband
• Amazon Armor

Not every fight drops every item — the nest chooses from a wide pool of sorcerer, druid, knight, and paladin arms and armour. Duplicates are uncommon in a single chest.

Local Trader — Sell Your Marked Spoils

Bar of Gold The Local Trader is a friend of the nest's economy. Speak with him in the classic trade window (as you would with a wandering merchant of renown).

  • Sell Aether-marked equipment from your backpack only (not worn on your body).
  • Price = Aether tier in Bars of Gold. A Magic Sword marked tier 6 yields 6 Bars of Gold; tier 4 yields 4, and so on.
  • Items without an Aether Mark are not bought this way — only gear that bears the forge's spirit.
  • He also sells supplies (amulets, rings, backpacks of potions and runes, curios) for Bars of Gold.

Why it matters Boss Eggs are a path to marked steel you can either wear, forge higher, trade with players, or cash out at the Local Trader when you need bars for other crafts.

Svira's Nest Quest

Seek Svira Adventurer (found in the Rebirth city) and speak of adventure. She asks for a true collector's tribute:

  • 100 of each colour — Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, and Purple (weakest to legendary).
  • Ask for status to see your progress; claim reward when the full nest is gathered.
  • Choose one legendary keepsake of her line: Svira Slayer, Svira Chopper, Svira Mace, Svira Wand, Svira Rod, or Svira Bow.

Eggs spent on her quest are removed from your pack — plan around !changeegg and arena hunts.

Adventurer's Checklist
  • Kill strong monsters (over 400 HP) with high stamina to find eggs.
  • Eggs are uncommon — luck and stamina both matter; stronger prey helps rarer shells.
  • Hatch eggs only in the Boss Egg Arena, centre of Thais.
  • Yellow needs high level only; Red and above need at least one Rebirth.
  • !changeegg — ten of one colour become one of the next colour up the ladder.
  • Defeat the Malignant Revenant; claim the reward chest.
  • Equipment comes with Aether Mark (tiers 2–7). Forge higher or sell to Local Trader for bars.
  • Optional: complete Svira's collection for a unique Svira weapon.
